As much as I love Australia, and the luxury of sitting on the balcony enjoying a Barossa Shiraz whilst the sun sets over the Indian Ocean, there is always a part of me that longs for London and all that the shady lady has to offer. My recent visit to London is a case in point, although my trip was time constrained and very busy it was made memorable because of the people I met in the short time I was there - and the staff at Shaws were the icing on the cake.

Dear Alex. Thank you very much for your help with this purchase. I shudder to think how long it would have taken if you weren't on the case to prod our amiable but disorganised vendor on a daily basis.
You always have been immediately responsive to my calls and queries and were very straight with us which we really appreciated having met some duplicitous children(!) posing as estate agents during the search for this property.
I write to say how thoroughly impressed I have been by your sales manager Alex Attwood.
Alex has helped us purchase a flat in W14 and from the very start of our relationship with her nothing has been too much trouble. Her attention to detail is second to none. Most importantly she has given the impression of having a real sense of integrity – something I fear that I have not found to be a common trait in my dealings with many estate agents.
Beyond the purchase of the flat, Alex has given a huge amount of her time – well beyond office hours on several occasions – in helping us with things such as finding painters, electricians etc. These are not normally services one associates with an agent selling a property. They usually disappear as soon as they have the money in the bank!
Alex is charming and courteous – as are the rest of your staff in the Palliser Road office. We had dramas with a broken down van full of furniture this weekend and although Alex was not in the office a delightful Australian girl was extremely kind & helpful - letting us use the computer to find another van to hire!
We wanted you to know how delighted we were to work with her. She is an extremely impressive member of your staff.

October 2011. Having just bought a property through Alex Attwood at Shaws, I can honestly say that without her hard work, which went far above and beyond the usual call of duty, we may never have made it to exchange.
The chain was long and other agents in the line were not as helpful at all, solicitors were slow, and I was on the verge of having to pull out altogether and losing my dream property. With this in mind, Alex pulled out all the stops, chased every agent and every solicitor involved in the chain even updating me well after office hours, until we finally achieved exchange, thanks completely to Alex's hard work.

Dylan James and his team at Shaws did a great job selling our flat in Queens Club Gardens. The valuation they gave was attractive and reasonable and the price agreed for the sale of the flat was at the level which we wanted. In terms of the service during the sale process, Dylan handled the buyers well and always chased and pushed in a decent manner to get the transaction completed.
I found Shaws to be more trustworthy and less pushy than other estate agents I have dealt whilst looking for a flat. Between making an offer and completion Dylan stayed very close to the process and he was professional throughout.
